The event
The Youth America Grand Prix is an international classical dance competition held in New York and bringing together 9 countries: USA, Belgium, France, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Japan and China. The competition takes place over a week in January.
The communication campaign around this event aims to promote classical dance, but also future French talent, by encouraging dance enthusiasts to attend the competition.
Art Direction
Far from the usual clichés associated with classical dance, the artistic direction of this communication campaign is contemporary and sunny to “dust off the image of classical dance”. Satin and powder pink have been replaced by brighter colors. The visuals are composed with illustrations, conveying the movement and concentration required for this practice, so that everyone can identify with it, without highlighting personalities.
